Kesterson T. Kua

Overview:

Kesterson is one of the founding partners of SKY Law.He specializes in immigration and labor law with extensive experience in labor and employment claims, collective bargaining negotiations, labor dispute resolution, illegal work stoppages and interruptions, labor audits, international secondments, and work visa and immigration requirements. He has appeared before the National Labor Relations Commission, the Department of Labor and Employment, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, and the Bureau of Immigration on behalf of clients. He also teaches at the University of the Philippines College of Law as a senior lecturer.

Kesterson worked as a lawyer at Angara Abello Concepcion Regala and Cruz, one of the Philippines’ largest law firms, where he handled labor issues and concerns for some of the country’s largest multinational corporations.

Overview:

Kurt Yeung assists local and multinational clients in registering, maintaining, and protecting their intellectual property portfolios. He also advises on issues concerning intellectual property and data privacy, reviews technology transfer arrangements, and opposition and cancellation cases before the Intellectual Property Office.

He is the current managing partner of SKY Law.

Rogelio Benjamin J. Redoble

Overview:

Mr. Redoble was a partner at SKY Law. He specialized in taxation, estates and trusts, as well as wills and probate. Mr. Redoble had advised and represented clients on various tax concerns relating to, among others, banking and financial products and services, internet transactions, power generation, tax incentives of investment promotion agencies like PEZA, import and export including business process outsourcing, Regional Operating Headquarters (ROHQs), real estate, foreign investment and repatriation, estate planning and settlement, and local government taxation. He had successfully defended clients against billions of pesos worth of tax assessments, as well as criminal tax charges. He also gave advice on estate planning and settlement.

Mr. Redoble had also handled matters relating to asset acquisitions, share purchases, merger notifications with the Philippine Competition Commission, labor audits and litigation, the drafting and review of various contracts and agreements, as well as providing clients legal advice and assistance in relation to the day-to-day business needs of clients.

Prior to joining SKY Law, Mr. Redoble served as Chief of Staff of ANGKLA Party-List, the first maritime congressional party-list in the Philippines. He was also a Senior Associate and Department Monitor in the Tax Department of Angara Abello Concepcion Regala and Cruz, one of the largest law firms in the Philippines.  Mr Redoble was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2013. 

He passed away in July 2025.

Overview:

Blesie Bustamante-Uy specializes in general corporate work, government contracts and public-private partnerships, mergers & acquisitions, foreign investments, administrative law and regulatory practice, with over ten years of experience as a practicing lawyer. She has represented companies in various industries in corporate acquisitions, restructuring, joint ventures, and government biddings; assisted clients in establishing businesses in the Philippines; and advised clients with respect to securing permits and licenses from various government agencies and compliance with regulatory requirements. She has acted as Director and Corporate Secretary for a number of stock and non-stock corporations in the Philippines.

Prior to joining SKY Law, she was a senior associate at Angara Abello Concepcion Regala & Cruz Law Offices. Before she became a lawyer, she worked at Manila Water Company, Inc., a water utility company, where she held various positions in business operations and finance over seven years.

Senior Associate

Mark John T. Yeung

Overview:

John Yeung is a senior associate whose practice currently focuses on corporate and commercial transactions, and labor and employment matters.

John has participated in a number of labor law as well as corporate law matters. He has assisted in applications before government agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission. He drafted pleadings in criminal and labor cases. He participated in an arbitration case before Construction Industry Arbitration Commission. He also facilitated negotiations with San Miguel Corporation involving properties affected by the Metro Rail Transit 7 and Skyway Projects. 

During law school, John was invited to join the University of Philippines (UP) Law Bar Operations Commission (BOC) for the 2018 bar exam. He revised the UP BOC Special Proceedings Reviewer. As a law intern in UP Office of Legal Aid, he drafted and submitted numerous pleadings in several cases, did direct and redirect examinations, and assisted in formulating a legal defense that successfully resulted in the quashal of an information. For his work, he was nominated as one of the Outstanding Law Interns. 

John worked in a bank from 2011-2014 before entering law school.

As a senior associate, Elaine helps advise clients on general corporate housekeeping, labor and employment issues, tax matters, and litigation. She has drafted various contracts and pleadings for labor, criminal, and civil cases. Since joining the Firm, Elaine has participated in due diligence exercises and in local and foreign acquisition projects. She also has experience assisting in settlement negotiations and brokering compromise agreements for clients.

While in law school, she was a member of the Editorial Board of the Philippine Law Journal.

Kathleen’s work in the firm includes drafting pleadings for civil, criminal, and special proceedings cases. She has handled labor, corporate acquisition, and estate settlement cases for the firm. She has also handled trademark registrations and applications for declaration of actual use in Intellectual Property matters. She conducts contract reviews for clients in the construction and food service industry, as well as prepares deeds, settlement documents, tax returns, and other legal documents. Before joining SKY Law in 2022, Kathleen was a legal intern at the University of the Philippines Office of Legal Aid where she assisted in drafting pleadings for indigent clients. She was an editorial intern for the Chairperson of Vol. 92 of the Philippine Law Journal. She was also a court intern at the Office of Supreme Court Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa and a legal intern at the Office of the Solicitor General where she assisted the State Solicitor.

She was also an intern with De La Salle University College of Law Legal Aid Clinic. Prior to pursuing a career in the legal industry, Kirsten worked as an Executive Chef under the Sumo Sam Group of Restaurants. Overview:

Shade is a Junior Associate who passed the 2023 Philippine Bar Examinations. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Shade earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from UP Manila, and subsequently worked as a Science Research Associate in the Marine Science Institute, working in the Conus Exogenomics Project under the Philippine Genome Center. While attending law school, Shade worked as Secretary to the Chief Executive of the local government unit of Maria, Siquijor. She took her legal internship at the Office of Legal Aid in UP Diliman, where she served as Team Leader and drafted various pleadings and motions, represented clients before the courts, assisted in preliminary investigations, and reviewed contracts and compromise agreements. Currently, Shade’s work for the firm includes drafting pleadings for civil, criminal and special proceedings cases, and responding to legal queries from clients. Overview:

 

Ohne is a Junior Associate who passed the 2024 Philippine Bar Examinations. Ohne was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2025. She is an alumna of the University of the Philippines College of Law. She was part of the evening program of the College of Law as she continued to work in the field of education while being a law student.

 

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ohne worked as an educator. She has had a varied experience as a basic education teacher and has worked for and alongside fellow education advocates since 2014.

 

She took her legal internship at the Office of Legal Aid in UP Diliman, where she served as Team Leader and drafted various pleadings and legal opinions and represented clients before the Metropolitan Trial Courts of Quezon City. Currently, Ohne’s work for the firm includes drafting contracts, pleadings, legal opinions, and other legal documents. She is currently handling matters relating to corporate housekeeping, corporate special projects, and litigation.
